My reaction?

UPDATE: Life at the end of the Year 2009

1) It's been crazy lately. With my ever-changing moods and the indecisive heart and mind. And the ever-changing thoughts and ideas. And the work. And the relationships, friendships. (skinship?? hahah. i just wanted to type that.) I've been an ass to myself and to everything and everyone. But I never put any subjects of why things have been that way out of sight. And anyone who knows me well know that I'm the one who remembers shitty things that have been done to me and shitty things that I do or did to ppl.

2) Work. Oh Work is just Work. It's never changing. Work can never be less. Work is always and will always be work.

3) Lately, I have been spending a lot of time with myself. I miss that. I always try to find time to pamper myself n I really needed that. Especially when people I am (was) close with are (were) not around me (anymore).

4) I'm not very responsive to anything now. My "No-Feeling-Disease" has been worst. Even towards my boy-friend. (ok. there is a meaning to why there is a "-" there)

5) The fact that I planned on going back to Kuching has been changed to a hateful desire. Hahahah!!!

6) My Samurai Deeper Kyo's collection is almost complete. Another 2 more volumes (or another tankoubon) . But we (the SDK manga collectors of English Version) are disappointed with the missing covers for Volume 36. (T_______T)

7) Don't worry, when I can find time to write about 2009 review, I will write. For now I'm too busy with so many things. I remembered someone asked me "What are you so busy with??" Well, unlike you who has sooooo much free time, I'm different. I'm putting a fullstop to that so that another big stupid argument will not happen.

8) This year, I was given a few year planner for free. I mean. Last year I had to buy them. O_O

9) Grandma is here. Again. :D

10) I'm doing something to my hair again before the new year. Why? Because I am bored with it.

Responsibility and Realization

I found something interesting in my "Journal Collection". One of them is titled as Responsibility and I didn't even post it to my blog. (I think I did not). Anyhow, This is something to ponder.

"Would it be so wrong to admit that I am swimming in the sea filled with wonderful feelings, colourful emotions, the sea that promises no heartache, and even if I drowned in it, I will never regret ever living in it? I have never felt that way before. I am not sure whether this statement is correct but from my point of view, there is no such thing as a wonderful life. Even if there is, at some point everyone will at least face the steel bar, or the great wall of life and to get through it will require a great sacrifice. Right now, I am wandering about, not knowing where to go, still not satisfy with life and currently bound to admit to reality. Sitting here having a cup of hot coffee after a long shower, reminiscing. Sometimes I thought living this life could be as simple as reading a book (which reminds me that I need to go to Book Castle to get some paperback). Obviously, that thought is so wrong, but unfortunately, nobody tells us that as we walk this road, we crumble, we fall, we cry and we have to get up by ourselves. And nobody is there to help us.

Let’s talk about responsibilities. What is my responsibility as a human being? (aside from the responsibilities that I have towards God). Which reminds me of what my kawaii little foster brother, Addin had said to a man he saw loitering about after he did his Friday prayer.

Addin: Are you a Muslim?
The man: Yes.
Addin: What is your God’s name?
The man: Allah.
Addin: Isn’t it your responsibility to go for Friday prayer? Why didn’t you?
The man: (speechless)

(Note: Addin is only 7 years old and yes, he talks like an adult. Sometimes he does piss me off with his stories of ancient Romans and the ancestors including World War and Napoleon Bonaparte)
I would seriously kill myself after hearing that from a 7 years old kid (or on the other hand I would kill the kid instead for reminding what an ass I am). His dad (Addin’s dad that is) was speechless too and had to apologize to the man. Hahaha.. I thought that was a funny story after hearing it. But then again, it really hit me. And it made me realize that life is too short to be so careless and irresponsible. But it is still funny though, don’t you think… (really laughing my head off right now).

Actually, I miss my life as an undergraduate student. I want to go back. I realized that is the time I can really ‘lepak’, watch anime, download movies, sleep and the only responsibility I have is towards myself. Now that I’m done with school (gosh… this really reminds me that I’m OLD), I can’t have as much fun as I had in university. There are always rules to break and being carefree in university is the best feeling I have ever had (Warning: Do not be carefree while you’re schooling. It will only get you in trouble. Dame yo. Zettai Dame!).

I have another 7 years before I’m 30 (am I thinking too far?) and I possess and unusual fear of growing up and settling down (and of course I’m running away from this fucked up responsibilities that I happened to be involved with undesirably). Doesn’t it sound sick to know that others' mistake is your responsibilities? I’m not ready to have big responsibilities and it’s not what I want after having a long undesirable life (23 years is considered as long, you know)."

Okay... I just realized that was written over 3 years ago... LOL!!! But whatever...

A little something for the heart...

I have this routine of going out every morning on weekends to Starbucks to have breakfast just to feed my eyes with cute baristas get my ass out of the house. (And please... the first reason is totally valid). Starbucks used to have super hot and cute baristas. Cute baristas is the main attraction of Starbucks. LoL. Okay. I'm kidding about that. Starbucks have a range of coffees and teas which are superbly delicious. Not forgetting the juices and the snacks. OMFG. Now I know why I love going here.

Putting that aside, last Friday we had a blast at Eja's Hen Night Party. It was supposed to be a night in (and out) with a few girls but it turned out to be the original four. Nevertheless, it was a wonderful night. We had Domino's and chickens and deserts and Bruno. Owh.. Bruno. I can't really comment on that. One of us suggested that it was the closest to Male Stripper we can get. LOL. Yeah... It was. But after the show, we were desperately looking for another movie to neutralize our mind.

I haven't had a good time since Bon Odori 2009. Well, I guess you can say it depends on who you hang out with. And if those bunch are the ones who really understands you, then spending time with them will be the best.

I still owe myself a cake for my birthday. LOL.

And in November, I plan to visit someone (who is currently holding the 'taisetsu na hito' place in me). Yeah yeah. A couple of 'taisetsu na hito' has gone missing. The fact that these people think that I can't understand them well is well... so true. Because I don't. And I don't care anymore.
I want to be random again. Since I got the news that I'm terribly sick, I think I should not think about being sick or the fact that I'm sick. LOL. It will only hold me back from doing all the good2 things I can do in life. So, since the doctor said that I should be well soon. I should be all genki and be happy. Rite?

Enjoy life to the fullest!

Arigatou

This week's been great for me. I haven't been updating this blog since... forever... Hahaha... Anyways, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all my beloved for the birthday wishes, presents, treats. I seriously had a blast (and blessed) with all of you! I've been really busy with work and all to the extend that I don't even have time to check my facebook. O_O

Anyhow, this is just a short entry. I'm too lazy to write anything now. hehehe...

Shinra's Curse

It's fairly normal for me and the rest of my family to talk about nonsense and laugh together after break-fast. By then, I'd be really stuffed with food and water that I can't even breath what more to say laugh my head off. Somehow yesterday night wasn't really normal and wasn't really fine with me. We were talking about getting old and yet again, my mother never seize to remind me about getting married, have kids and stuff. She kept reminding me that I'm turning 25 another year older by the end of this month.

I was a bit disturbed by that statement. You know. I told my mom, if there's anything God would give me as a sign of aging I'll accept wrinkles but not having some foreign colour hairgrowth on my head. Very picky aren't we? Well, I love my hair. I don't mind it having ONE of a different colour from the original as in the whole head, but not one or two or three of different colour sticking out from the whole head. So my mom (in her joke tone) said "What if there is one or two growing on your head now". I confidently replied, "Well, that can't be happening. I'm still young." And she stood up and started flipping my hair layer by layer. AND...

Image: Shinra's Curse

There it was, the discovery of the thin platinum protien filament that actually grew (was growing) on my head without me realizing it. Chrys said Shinra's curse is contagious. It's either that or I'm turning into Sephiroth~

The Hero

Though it's a bit too late to say this, Happy Merdeka to all Malaysians. I had a wonderful weekend during the short break and I was at home hanging out with my family. On Saturday, I was out with Haha-ue and we were supposed to shop for Raya, but it seemed like I was more fond on buying books and non-raya related stuff. Anyhow, as we were talking in the car about Independence day and such, Haha-ue came across the story where Chichi-ue cheated death. I never thought about Chichi-ue being some sort of a hero to me. I honestly think that Chichi-ue was just someone who could sit at home and watch TV all day long and it kind of pissed me off all the time. I never want to think about him ever being one of the many soldiers that protected his nation. I never did. Even though he used to tell me stories about those times when he was in the army, I couldn't care less. Until I heard about this.

So it goes something like this,

It was years back, probably in 82 where I wasn't born yet. Chichi-ue was posted in Sibu and Haha-ue was in Kuching. Sibu, that time was the hotspot for comunists. Haha-ue said, everyday when the heli arrived, there would be dead bodies. Or at least one. And that time, she kept on asking where Chichi-ue was, but they keep on telling her that he was at base. It lasted for weeks, until Chichi-ue returned. Haha-ue still didn't know that Chichi-ue was actually in the battle until his batman (some sort of a butler, this person shines shoes, irons clothes, do all trivial things for Chichi-ue) told Haha-ue that one of Chichi-ue's comrade died in his arm. Chichi-ue was supposed to be leading the platoon and was supposed to be up front but one of his men told him to switch places with him and let him be in front. A few steps after, the man was shot and he died in Chichi-ue's arm. I only thought these kind of things only happen in movies, but when I asked Chichi-ue, he said that it is something that he could never forget. I asked him, what was the man's last word. Chichi-ue said, "Please take care of my family". I was totally stricken by this. I wanted to cry. Because this man had to die to protect his superior, his comrades, his country.

And then it occured to me, Chichi-ue was there too. All the time before I was born in this world and after I was born. He was one of the many many soldiers who protected this country. He was there and was faced with death all the time. Nobody knows when the bullets will come at you. Nobody knows when the person you walk with will get shot. Nobody knows who will die next or when they will die. Nobody knows. Chichi-ue is a brave and strong man. Of course he is, if he's not around, who's gonna drive the baka hebi and the boge saru away from the house? Who's gonna carry the heavy groceries from the car? I realized now that I never have thought about it in this perspective and I've always seen Chichi-ue as someone who does nothing. I know. Boku wa warui ko da ne. Chichi-ue wa tsuyoi hito, yasashii hito da. Boku no Chichi-ue wa kono kuni no eiyuu da. Boku no hon mono no eiyuu da. Kansha suru yo.

Emergency : Ice Cold

I'm trying my best to squeeze some time to get to this.

O-hisashi buri desu!!
I've been too busy lately I don't even know the date or what day today is. (yeah.. it's that severe) It's dead serious to the extent that I have been neglecting my books, manga, anime, Animax and TV. (O___O)
My usual morning routine has been pushed back to earlier time (every Monday, Wednesday and Friday) for production fix loading (yeah yeah, i know you don't know what I'm talking about. work-related) and going back time has been extended to the earliest, 5pm.
Anyhow, I wanted to rant about what happened this morning.

I was a bit late when I reached Kelana Jaya. It was 7.30am and during this time, the LRT station would be packed with people. I seriously hate waiting in lines and getting pushed and ran over by strangers. (I am usually the victim of these uncivilised people because I'm such a midget, I bet they can't see me standing there like a stone, but in reality I'm not really THAT short. Believe me I'm actually seeable like The Great Wall of China). So this morning, I had to wait 4 times until I am able to ride the train and when I was about to board it the door closed on me. So I was the first in line by that time while waiting for the next train to arrive.

I don't know if wearing a mask actually makes you deaf (I don't think it does for normal people). But it kinda make me sort of.. er... deaf. ahahhaa... Actually, there was an old (ok not so old, but old) woman who collapsed behind me this morning. I only realized it after a lady was running on her high heels to the escalator (yeah.. she actually ran in reallllly high stilletos). When I turned I saw a body (a live one of course) was lying down on the floor. And a few people were surrounding her. Her eyes were wide opened and she was still. (Okay.. at this moment, I thought she might be.. er... umm.. ....... . . . . . . . .) Suddenly, she spoke. "I need to go to work" she said. A guy and 2 ladies were holding her and helping her up (and I? I just stood there like an idiot) A few seconds later, 2 RapidKL employee came up and helped the lady. They insisted her to rest in their office (yeah.. the lady kinda still wanna go to work. Okay... You people who knows me well, better not start with the "akira is a massive workaholic" speech routine thing okay... X( I'm dead serious.)

1) I was wondering why didn't I realize the situation in the first place. It took me more than 30 seconds to know that there was something going on behind me. (I know I'm a little bit of an airhead but still...)

2) Why didn't I help her when I finally saw what happened? Because there were so many people surrounding her. If I were to join in the crowd, she would have suffered from suffocation instead of getting a bit better right?

3) I was actually frozen and shocked. I just realized I'm pretty much fucked when there's an emergency.

I'm still shocked actually. I guess I just need to be mentally prepared when things like this happen, you know. Even though it's actually nothing to some people, but to me it's scary. Maybe i should add this to my list of phobias.

until then,
Akira.

It's not funny so it's not a joke

What is the one thing that can send somebody(particularly someone like me) to the gate of the living and the dead? The answer is when your mother and father asked you about when do you wanna settle down and produce some grandchildren for them to play with OR your parents suggested that you're a sod and that you should either go out, have fun, get drunk, bring back a guy (or two) OR they finally decided that you should go on a Omiai...

What kind of reaction should you give to that?
You're not even half way there and everyone (even your brother's mother-in-law) thinks that you should settle down. Is it really important?
Your mother thinks that if you don't get married soon, you're gonna be too old to have kids. Or even worst, you're the only one among your friends who has yet to settle down. Is that even a valid reason?
Most of my friends are married, and to be honest, I have been thinking about "Am I the only one who has yet to find the love of my life (because I'm awfully picky) and to ride the clouds of blissful relationship (and later parenthood)?"

Are you the kind that "does it because everybody else is doing it"?

People are wrong if they think I'm very shallow minded about all this that I don't care whether one day I will have a couple (or four) kids around the house playing with their grandparents and cousins. I do think about it. Sometimes at night. (Omg, please.. I did not ust say that). But it's just that, NOW is not the right time yet. TO me, it is not. There are too many goals in life that I want to achieve.

But, When exactly is the right time?
It will come, eventually.

How would you know then?
I don't. It will depend on my instinct. :D

And if your instinct is wrong?
Why am I answering my own question?

Whatever it is, things like omiai or blind date or speed date can never work. I'll leave my fate in the hands of destiny.
I hope my brother's mother-in-law will stop questioning me about when I'm getting married or stuff. When you get the invitation card, that's when I'm getting married. :D

Bon Odori 2009!

Saturday, July 18th 2009, was the 33rd Bon Odori Festival held in Matsushita Sports Complex, Shah Alam. This year, I went with my family (Haha-ue, Ani-ue, Ane-ue, Chibisuke and Kosuke) and also a good friend of mine from UTP, Eja. I was actually kinda worried that they won't enjoy the festival because this whole time I was assuming that these kind of things are the least of their interest. Turned out that everyone was having an absolute blast (event the kids) and Chibisuke was among those people who joined in the circle of people on the field. It was extremely crowded and there were more people than last year's. I didn't get to meet loads of people who I promised (or did I promise?) to meet before going to Bon Odori. The phone network sucks and we can't call each other and smses arrived an hour later or so...

Part 1: Life is about taking risk and chances - go jump in the fire and die...

... and then relive like the phoenix....

O-hisashi buri desu!

I haven't got the time to write, been busy with life (not really...). Well, those few weeks that I was gone were filled with joy and laughters! I've been enjoying life, though it's crappy and most of the time it sucks, I did cherish it. More like struggling towards happiness. But it's all good. Anyway, Here are some of the things I did during my "sudden-holiday-because-my-youth-is-crumbling" weeks..

Wander aimlessly on a Friday afternoon

Saturday's breakfast @ Starbucks

Walking the early Sunday

Going Places unintentionally

Indulge good good food everyday

Will update more when i have the time..

adieu~

akira.

Random entry

Been so sick lately. (No No No... Nothing associated with the dreadful AH1N1). Currently residing at the corner of this deserted Starbucks, watching people moving in slow motion, it's amusing. A bit stressed with the condition of the house and work and people and have been running away a lot. Hopefully all these sickness will be gone soon and I can go to work as usual and not let ppl be in fright of deadly diseases. hahaha...

I seriously need rest. Away from people.

Dearest Love - To the ones I used to love

Dearest Love

I can never say it out loud. I’m such a loser. So Toshi (a good friend of mine) told me that I should express it through here. Here’s to all my dears.

Dearest Love # 1,

I know you loved me and love me still. I thank you for what you’ve given me. You tried so hard to give me everything, but it’s just not right. It can never be right. I do love you, but not as far as it ever went. I didn’t mean to brick the distance between us but you, you build an obvious fence to keep me away.

I wish we could understand each other a little better.

Dearest Love# 2,

I wouldn’t mind laying next to you everyday and listening to everything you say all night long. But it’s not the same anymore since now all that you talk about is your significant other. I will forgive you for your selfishness but I will not forgive you for your abuse. It’s just plain mean.

This will be the end.

Dearest Love #3,

You may be the one I love most, but I can’t be bias. Now that I feel there’s no connection between us, we should just bid farewell to our wonderful relationship. You hurt me too much I can’t take it. You hurt me with your silly face and beautiful smiles and your wonderful stories and your bright eyes. You hurt me worst when I realized all your words are lies Everything about you were just some big fat lies. Here’s to the end of us, cheers.

Dearest Love #4,

I thought I can never live without you. You were a part of me. Now you never exist. And just so you know, I was really looking forward to that day. But I knew before you told me the verdict. You left me cold in the water, again.

Until today.

Dearest Love # 5,

It seems that after all these years, I managed to finally forgive you. But it’s not you that I want. You’re just another challenge in this race. You might be one of the many obstacles, and you might be the ONLY key. Bless me.

THAT WAS CHEEEESY. ( hid under the table)

:D

Blardy Hawt. Fark.

I created another commotion in my life last few weeks and I realized the big little idiot inside of me was the one who had orchestrated the dramatic performance that day. The little piece was generously performed by my little fingers which danced gracefully pathetically but hard on the keyboard, typing the words from hell one by one as my eyes intensely stared on the screen of my dusty laptop reading those words fluently from my brain and was oblivion to the current state I was in. Was I being furious? Was I expecting something? I never knew. It was too ugly beautiful to be seen by laymen's eyes.

Still wondering now, what might be the driver to have gotten my legs into this sticky mud. I don't think I am desperately in need of contemplating my life, because as far as I am concerned, it hasn't gone anywhere far. I'm still standing in the same spot, each and everyday doing the same thing, seeing the same thing expecting the same thing. It bores me. Everyday in the middle of nowhere, the wind whispers. I keep standing still. Wondering whether I should listen to them. In the morning, I will be standing up straight, power up to start a new day. I would probably be half asleep, yet every morning I'd be ready to face the sun. But I can't move. I'd be there standing until the sun goes back to sleep.

I had a stupid an interesting conversation with someone who shall not be named. We were talking about the past. Something normal people would do. Talk and laugh about it. Somehow, it went overboard and the conversation became a little more serious. I was hoping that my laptop would ran out of battery, but it was on plug. I desperately want to run away from the conversation, because I can no longer say anything. I uttered a curse under my breath. Though the other person can't hear me, I settled it with a whisper. Why oh why did I ever mention it?

In another unrelated matter, I've just lost it to myself. My stoic shell cracked today and it's just ugly. I've been trying so hard to suppress it. I mean, it did crack before but today it almost breaks. There are a few things which i consider as nuisance in life.

1) when people u trust turn their back on u
2) when things that you thrown away are recollected
3) when things that you like are taken away from you

Things say like, my favourite hang out place, my favourite things to do, my favourite pose and my favourite people. Yes. I've finally took the left turn today and when things are already ugly, i tend to make it worse in this situation. *sigh*

Save me oh saints of stoicness before it's too late

Rabbit's hole

Hey, it's June already. (June means birthdays, no public holiday and boredom). My sis in law just gave birth to a healthy baby girl yesterday(4th June 2009). OMEDETOU~ I just can't wait to go home and squish the little cheeks. Today's Dad's birthday, again OMEDETOU!. He was wishing that the baby will be born today. Too bad. She can't wait to see this corrupted world. Ah ah.. Anyway, today's topic's a bit boring and a bit longer than usual. You don't have to read it if you don't want to. It's just some useless rambling. I was too bored and pissed and I thought I have some things to share. As usual, again, something to ponder about and before I start I would like to announce: THE ENTRY BELOW HAS NO RELATION WITH ANYONE DEAD OR ALIVE. THANK YOU.

How to get away from memories of people that meant the world to us? You'd probably think "What kinda shit is Akira gonna write about this time?" Yes. This kind of shit.

"HE MEANS THE WORLD TO ME" ARC
When you think that someone is everything to you, you'd do anything for that person and yet to him, you're just some piece of dirt stuck in between his shoe sole, something he's trying to get rid off since the first day he knew you. You know this already, you've been asking people around you, telling them stories, pissing yourself with all the negative things and yet you still cling to him like you'll die when he leaves you (Correction: he can't leave you unless you are together right?). I think, unless you were in a relationship with the dude, for a year or two, then you'll get the license to howl as long as you want, as loud as you want and you can even turn yourself into a banshee, if you want to. But as long as the guy does not 'belong' to you, is not in a relationship with you, eventhough he treats you like a mistress, YOU ARE ONLY FRIENDS. Please. Keep. That. In. Mind. MEER FRIENDS.

"I SHOULD HAVE CONFESSED TO HIM" ARC

Ok, so you think you like him (Correction: You know you like him. You confessed to everone you're crazy over him. You confessed to everyone except Him). Both of you are like stuck together, anywhere, everywhere. Everyone thinks you're together. (which also makes you think that you're somewhat special to this ungrateful son of a b*tch) *clear throats* Excuse me. Reality check: To him. You're just a good friend. Being such a desperado, you decided to say unnecessary things to him to see how he reacts to it (with an excuse of just trying to calm yourself down and make you feel better) "We should be bestfriends forever" is the sort of thing you tell him. (Which is so so so wrong. You can tell AFTER you get together maybe, but not before letting him know how you feel or the other way around.) You were expecting him to say "Why? I like you, we're like more than that.... " those sort of shit. Instead, he says "OK". You become depressed. Your soul crumbles like you're facing Death. (yeah, i know a bit dramatic. But well, local expression frust menonggeng) You should have confessed to him. (It may sound easy, but it's not. I know. ) Or instead of feeling like some loser shithead, you should at least explain to him the real situation, just to clear the water. Now, you can never be friends with the dude, hang out with him like usual, can't stick around with your other friends because he will be there because he hates you gutless. Just to be clear, it's not healthy to express your ridicule feelings on text. Some people will think you're a lunatic. And seriously, people will be sick and tired of you. It's a fact, face it.

"I NEED A SHOULDER (OR TWO) TO CRY ON" ARC
Ok. Over to the "friends will be there to support me" part. So he hates you. You don't know where to turn to. Only your friends and trusted ones. One day, you told this friend everything. She on the other hand did not make it easier for you (well, she did try her hardest to brick up the facts of the situation, and yet, you don't want to listen). Ok.. you did. You listened to her. You cried to her. She calls you and asks how you were and how things are going because she cared. What makes her sad was the fact that you told others that she's trying to mess up with your head, scolded you for being stupid (well you deserve it) and what you were expecting from her was words of comfort. Well, let's face it. This friend does not want to tell you the guy is a jerk. She wants you to know it yourself. You don't need to be told what is already known. You just need a smack in the head. Wake up and smell the concrete. Face the reality. You know she was right all along. But you just can't digest it. You don't want to. You are in denial. And you blame her. You can list down the many people you asked for advice for. But the one you truly want to hear it from is, this one friend. But did you listen? No. You only made her so hateful.

"HE'S JUST A MEMORY... NOT" ARC
To him, you're probably just a piece of toilet paper to wipe his ass with and you should clear your head once in a while to get the real picture. How many times does anyone need to remind you of this? When a guy told you that he 'can't stand the sight of you', that means you should leave him alone. Stop writing weird messages to him and don't start putting up ridiculous status on Friendster or Facebook. Try to put yourself in his shoes. I bet you feel irritated too. It's fucking annoying. Even those people who are not involve in that circle thinks it's irritating. What more with the 'Every-10seconds-status-update'. Try to divert your mind to something else. The more you try to pull him towards you, the more he'll run away. Take the theory of how a piece of rubberband works. The more you pull it the more it will pull away. (courtesy of dear friend, Nana - 2002). When you decided to forget about him, that means you won't keep on reminding yourself of that bastard. Take this for example: I've forgotten about you. Do you think you have been forgetting someone if you keep on having the thoughts of that person every second of the day? That is pure torture.

WORDS OF ADVICE OR WHATEVER
I'm gonna be frank. I don't care if it hurts anyone. Like hell I care. I'm just gonna spit the truth.
Stop being pathetic. The world doesn't revolve around you. Stop thinking that you're the most unfortunate piece of shit that's living in this world. Because you're not. Don't be so depressed because of an asshole. There are many other good guys out there that will treat you better than that bastard (as said above). Of course, anyone would be frustrated after being treated like that. But don't be depressed for too long, you're just wasting life. Enjoy life as much as you can. Take a vacation. Drive to the beach. Aromatherapy. Go to spa. Retail therapy. Don't wait for anyone to have fun. And the most important part, LISTEN TO WHAT PEOPLE HAVE TO SAY AND THINK OF WHAT YOU SHOULD DO. Don't go on listening and then talk shit about others. Well, some people can't do what I can. So it might not give the same result. Follow your own pace, but don't take too long and waste your time. There just might be someone for you around the corner. You'll never know.

Weiß und Schwarz

I'm not really a fan of Gothic Shoujo/Loli shota anime or manga. (Ok. I lied) I mean. I 'm not a big fan but I don't mind reading or watching them. Last year, I was so into this series called The Earl Cain Series by Kaori Yuki. It has two parts, the first part of the series is called: The Cain Saga. The second part is called: Godchild. Though I only read the second half of the series, I can say it's damn good. (RIFF~~ *drools* )

Pic1: Cain Hargreaves of Godchild (volume 1 manga cover)

As always, I'm not a victor of heroes department. I always love characters who are not on the front page of every manga cover (except for Samurai Deeper Kyo, of course). P/S:Who doesn't like Kyo can go jump off the nearest cliff. Hahahah!! Ooopss.. another OOT from me. Tokorode, back to the main topic.

Recently, I've been reading another manga called Kuro Shitsuji or in English, The Black Butler and it is serialized in GFantasy. (SEBASTIAN!!!!~ *Drools* *Faints* *DIES*). Though it's not in tankoubon version yet for English translation, but scanlation version is just fine for me (Thank You to those who works hard on the scans! Good JOB!) I've been following the anime too and I love it. (Sebastian MOVESSS!!!!!!) *clears throat* Shitsurei shimashita... (*I won't mention his name again i promise... NOT*) Anyway, since Kuro Shitsuji is also set during the Victorian Era, it kinda made me realize the similarity to the manga Godchild.

Pic 2: Kuroshitsuji - Ciel Phantomhive and his loyal butler, Sebastian

Here's a bit of both Godchild and Kuro Shitsuji and the similarities of both manga.

1) Setting:
Both Godchild and Kuro Shitsuji are set during the Victorian Era in England.

2) All about the boy...
Both Godchild and Kuro Shitsuji focused on the young Hakushaku~ (though I guess Kuro Shitsuji focused more on... Sebastian~ Sebastiannnnnn~~~!!! >.< *clear throats* Sugi...) Godchild: Cain Hargreaves Kuro Shitsuji: Ciel Phantomhive

3) The HOT Butler
Good-looking, drop dead gorgeous, highly skilled, mysterious, hot BUTLER.
Godchild: Riffael Raffit
Kuro Shitsuji: Sebastian Michaelis

Pic 3: Riff and Cain of Godchild (Volume 5 manga cover)

Pic 4: Sebastian and Ciel of Kuroshitsuji

4) Jack The Ripper
Both Godchild and Kuro Shitsuji featured Jack The Ripper case.

5) Seriously freaky dudes.
Godchild: The Coffin Maker
Kuro Shitsuji: The Undertaker

6) Both Young Hakushaku reminded me of L'Arc~en~Ciel
Godchild: Godchild's main character, Cain Hargreaves really reminded me of Hyde of L'Arc~en~Ciel. I don't know which part, most probably the fashion sense. Hahaha.. Ah well, that's my opinion.
Kuro Shitsuji: Ciel Phantomhive from Kuro Shitsuji.... Ciel-chan, his name already hit me like a thunder :D

7) Boys acting as girls
Both Ciel and Cain dressed up as girls.

8) The Butler has another story
At least I know what's Riff's secret and his dark side (the real Riff). I'm not so sure about Sebastian, he's still a mystery. All I know about him is he's a demon.

9) The unwanted child
Godchild: Earl Cain was born from incestuous relationship of his father Alexis Hargreaves and his sister.
Kuro Shitsuji: Still a mystery. But through out the story Ciel Phantomhive is known to be an unclean child.

That's as far as the similarities I could collect, for now. I'm kinda on hiatus... With Kuro Shitsuji manga. There are so many things to read.... Hahaha... And I start collecting D.Gray-Man already. Though I already watched the series, it still doesn't satisfy me. I will need to re-read the manga and wait for the tankoubon version. I'll look into it later (Kuro Shitsuji that is) and I will hunt for more....

"Watashi wa akuma de, shitsuji desu kara....."

Being mean or just being honest?

Giving out an opinion about something is not as easy as thinking about it. It's either you say what you mean or say what needs to be said. Most people think that when giving out an opinion you have to think about how the receiver feels. But if that is so, why ask for opinion in the first place? Why do people who are asked about something needs to think about how to say to the person asking so that every detail being said will not hurt the other party?

Here's a simple normal case:

Someone you know asked you whether she should break up with her two-timing, 10 years boyfriend. The guy's been asking her to give him time because he loves her, and yet. And the girl loves him that she's willing to give him time.

Option 1: You tell her to think about it.... drag her deeper in misery. Because u think they look good together. And he is a nice guy, maybe it's just a misunderstanding. bla bla bla

Option 2: Just say it straight. Dump the dude. The misery only last a few days. There are many creatures in the lake other than the Lochness Monster. Not because u don't like the guy. Coz If it's you , you'd do that.

But what about how she feels? She's a good friend of yours. And maybe she's expecting a 'backsupport' from you when she's suffering. Maybe the guy will get back to her eventually. But what if he cheats again? (Please ignore any stoic traits) And if she listens to you, what if what you said was the opposite of what happens?

Maybe there should be an option 3. Like, keep quite about it and be the mean friend.

That's just a simple example. What if people starts asking you what to do with their life? Or how to live their life? Maybe we should start digging a big hole and hide in it. Hahaha...

Til next time.

The Trash and The Trasher

I've been thinking a lot about how my body is a walking trash can and it recently fail (almost failing) to filter grimes from all the foods I've been eating for the past 25 years. I usually don't care about these things (especially my health. That's not the first time and everyone around me knows that pretty well by now). The thought of me being killed by my own neglect forced me to start thinking about solutions on how to fix my body and soul that I have abandoned for so long. (I seriously had a rude awakening, that's the main reason).

My mother, who's very supportive with this decision (of course she is, she's been yapping all my life for me to realize this), took a head start. She cleans up the fridge (byebye Snickers, Ice Cream, nuggets, beef patties, sausages, cheese, carbonated drinks) and replaced all with fruits and veggies. I'm not a veggie person. I can eat, but I don't like it. I'm more of a meat person. But, due to this health thing, I have to like it and had made them my bestfriends. Munching on carrots and celery while watching Tears to Tiara is not one of my favourite things.

Pic 1: Weekly groceries- Talk about eating healthy :(

Pic 2: One of the daily lunchpacks - Raw Veggies, grilled beef and Vinaigrette

Pic 3: Dinner - Mom always try to make it as different and as interesting as possible

My first reaction was the same reaction when Hanii-senpai's cake was taken away from him by Morii-senpai. (Refer: Ouran High School Host Club Episode 12: "Hanii-senpai no Amakunai Mikkakan" (ハニー先輩の甘くない三日間) ) Except, instead of a mere cavity I have to unclog my whole digestive system. When I think about it, it's not like I never experienced a 'bloody encounter' before, in fact, it was a number of times. But why wasn't I aware of the condition of my 'soon-to-be-rotten-if-no-action-taken' body? Yeah... I'm just doing myself a little favour.

My everyday lunchboxes varies from many fashion of salad and dressings, raw veggies and fruits. It's painful at first, but my health's getting better. My sleep's getting better. NO MORE STRESS . Stress is not really out of hand lately. And I can keep myself sane most of the time. I can sleep peacefully at night and I wake up early most mornings. And I'm pretty happy about it.

**********************************************************************************

Last Thursday, I suddenly feel like watching X-Men. So I dragged my brother, his pregnant wife and the two year old Chib to One Utama to catch a 1am show. It's holiday the next day, and the cinema was packed. We didn't want to let Chib tag along coz it was late and we didn't think we could get tickets, but thanks to Chib (Seriously thanks to Chib) the phone-reserved seats were sold to us. And the nice guy who actually waited in the looooooooooooooooooooooong line for it was willing to buy it for us because he thinks Chib is cute. (Thank You Nice Guy at GSC who bought us tickets on Friday Morning!!!! m(_ _)m)

Pic 4: The four of us.
We arrived home at almost 4am and my brother had to go to work at 8 and he managed to wake up early and go to work with a fresh face (Congrates!!!). One the other hand, I was trashed in bed until 10. It was a holiday. So who cares?

The Fourth Avenue Cafe

The Fourth Avenue Cafe.

I first heard it on Rurouni Kenshin (Samurai X). I've never knew L'Arc~ en~Ciel back in 1998. I just knew the song, it's a freaking cool Japanese Song. And that time, I only heard it on TV, once a week on Saturday. Despite the hardship of waiting and missing episode(s) of Rurouni Kenshin on TV, I still managed to at least record it on tape (and it sounded like an elephant trying to sing with it's trunk full of boogers) aftermath. I have no idea how to get a Japanese song from the Internet, (heck, I don't even have a computer back then).

Mon, (Dented's Lead guitarist) was (is? was? is?..... still is ) a huge fan of L'Arc~en~Ciel and GLAY (and anything japanese) back in high school. She was the one who introduced me to Japanese Rock back in 2000 (when I just got a PC) and lent me an MP3 CD full of Japanese songs (God knows where she got these things). She tried to brain-washed me into listening to GLAY, but i just C-A-N-T. Hahha.. (ok.. maybe 2 songs). I only remembered 3 songs that I was so addicted to,

1) Again, The Fourth Avenue Cafe,
2) Heaven's Drive and
3) Gackt - Saikai ~story~

That's not the point of what I'm trying to write here.. hahaha

Actually, I'm saving up to get myself a new bass guitar.

Ibanez - GSR 200-BK/JB/TR is what I have in mind so far
Image from: Bentley Music

I've been dying to play The Fourth Avenue Cafe on bass. I mean... I know I suck (ok.. maybe not that bad) but I've been watching videos of those who played this bass line and they are AWESOME. Maybe not as good as Tetsu, but still, they managed to pull it off good. I was thinking either to get a bass or a guitar, but I guess I should get the bass first so I could continue what I have left. My skills are seriously rotten.

I'm not sure when I'm able to get the above mentioned, but I'm working on it. The ecomony now.... Gahh... I hope I'm able to get it by next year. (Or someone, please be kind enough to give me a PS3 that Ibanez for my birthday! LOL)

Signing off~

3)I dreamed I ate a box of fresh strawberries and was happy about it.
Explanation: The CAKE. The Was Not Meant To BE Cake. It's because they put strawberries on it. And NO I did not eat it.

4)I've been hanging with Chib a lot lately.
Explanation: She's got less attention from her parents. They will have a new born soon. Me? Less Attention from my parents. They have Chib.

Saturday Night's Dinner

Monday was a holiday and I had a long weekend. Usually, I won't bother about what to eat since eventually I'd be waking up late and sleeping early on holidays. Friday night, my brother invited me to Sakae Sushi with his family. Although I had already ordered dinner and was waiting for the delivery, I was thinking I should go. It's been a while since I had Salmon Sashimi (*starry eyes*) . It was good. Even though I hate to say I really despise the current shoyu at Sakae Sushi.

I went to Tesco and I decided to cook dinner on Saturday and invited my brother and his family to my apartment. I haven't been in the kitchen since my mom was here and I thought I must do some cooking or else my skills will be gone with the wind. Although I started at 4.30pm, I must say I did pretty well and everything was done before 7. I made Roasted Beef, Baked Potatoes and Savoury Rice.

Baked Potatoes ala Akira

Recipe for the Baked Potatoes:

Ingredients:

3 cleaned potatoes
2 teaspoons of dry basil
2 teaspoons of dry thyme
3 small cubes butter
canola oil
salt

Wash the potatoes and deep-cut potatoes (do not slice it) . Drizzle some canola oil on top of the potatoes and sprinkle dry basil, dry thyme and salt. Put the cube butter on top of each potatoes and wrap them in foil. Bake in the oven (200
oC / 392oF) for about an hour. Easy Breezy.

Roast Beef ala Akira

This one's easy breezy too:

Recipe for the Roast Beef:

Ingredients:

500 gm australian beef
2 teaspoons dry oregano
2 teaspoons dry thyme
2 teaspoons Italian herbs
salt and pepper
olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder

Mix all together. Put in the fridge for 24 hours. Then later in the oven for about 1 1/2 hour, (200oC / 392oF). Slice the beef when it's done. Easy??

Savoury Rice ala Akira

This ones pretty easy too:

Recipe for the Savoury Rice:

Ingredients:

2 cups of fragrant Rice (lightly washed)
1 bulb onion (chopped)
2 carrots (cubed)
chopped basil leaves
melted butter
salt
4 cups water

Fry the rice together with chopped onion and carrots with the melted butter. Add in the chopped basil leaves and add water slowly. Put the lid on and leave it on slow fire. I'm not sure how long it takes to cook this but, I assume maybe 20 mins.

You can try if you want. At least I know it's not poisonous. Hahaha!

Reading Situation and Having a G*D*mn Good Timing

**********************************************************************************

I don't know about you , but I am one of those people who actually do not observe my surroundings. Yup. I don't. Sometimes I'd be in a place, empty-minded and then I'd go "What am I doing here?". Eventhough I'm such an idiotic piece of wood a blockhead, sometimes I do read situation perfectly. Sometimes.

Someone I know told me that I've always do things that people want me to do as a favor without noticing that I'm actually just being used as an excuse. People don't actually care about what shit I'm in as long as they get what they want. I've never actually thought of it that way until I was told, then I came to my senses. I've always thought that doing a favor means, you're helping people without asking for anything in return. I've always been thought that way and it has always been this way ever since 1984 (for me).

But she also told me this: "Doing someone a favor means you're nice. Being used as an excuse means you're stupid. You don't have to think about being given anything in return. Those people who owes you shit should know."

I was surprised that someone actually thought about these things for me. I mean, someone's thinking about my feelings. I realized that I didn't want to feel like that because it's not right. And being an ignorant fuckhead someone who's always put aside the ridiculous thought, I finally understood what she meant. I've encountered this before and it's been going on and on and on and she said maybe I should put a stop to this. I told her, I should not put a stop to anything because nothing is wrong. It's just maybe those people should know how to read situation.

***********************************************************************************

Girl: I can't believe this
Boy: It's not what you think
Girl: She sat on your lap
Boy: I'm serious. It's not what you think.
Girl: I hate you
Boy: But it's not what you think

-stare. long stare. Looooong stare-
Boy holds girl's face, leaned forward -

Dad: There you are! Let's go home!
Girl: =_="

Hahaha.... Happened to me before. I perceived this as "being saved from having a future that is going to be painful". When I look back, I'm thankful that it never happened. (I was a bit disappointed though). Hehehe.

How would you react to this situation?

And I secretly wanted it to happen somehow. It's not wrong to dream. =P

Think about it...

Getaway. Hideaway.

What makes someone feel useless?

Ah well, I feel that most of the time. Though I know it's bad for my mental health at least I don't have to be fucked up trying to impress every single living creature in the whole world. What makes me feel useless? First is when I'm at work. Give me 30 mins to solve a bug. When I can't figure it out, I'll have these thoughts in my mind "All the 4 1/2 years hard work are thrown in the gutter", "Ah... am I just plain stupid?", "Ah... Tennen baka dakara". And it goes on and on and on til I get a migraine, white-faced, feverish and waiting to explode. But it's only me, that's how i get my adrenaline pumping to solve something. When I feel used and abused.... Yeah. That's the worst. Being used is useless? yeah... Useless because I'm too nice. (Really now?)

What makes someone feels like shoving a broom up someone's a-hole?
  • Being irritated is one.
  • Other than that is being told of things I don't bother to know. You know, things like who are in American Idol or stuff. (Maybe it only works for an ignorant walking ball of wrath like myself).
  • Other than that is, when I somehow (accidentally) bother about things or being concerned about anything and being shoved aside. That kinda hurt.
  • Also, being cornered with bothersome questions when you know it's written all over my face "Do I look like I give a shit?". Hmm.. Oh... there are more.
  • When an idiot actually made the biggest mistake in his/her life (a.k.a a smart ass in studies, an idiot in life, a total loser) tried to make me look miserable in front of the entire world.
  • When someone talks too much about their brain and how smart they are and are quite talented of being a jerk half the time.
  • and the list goes on...

I totally suck . . .
  • at quarelling. When I'm being attacked with words, I'd be speechless
  • at controlling my temper (Saint Angst?)
  • when coming up with excuses and lying
  • . . . enough already...

I'd be jumping up and down like an idiot and running around the house naked(feet)...

  • when new SDK volume's at Kinokuniya
  • when my anime list is updated
  • when I bought new books/anime/manga

10 ways to quick cash:
  1. newspaper routing?
  2. garage sale?
  3. sell your brother's skateboard collection
  4. sell the XBOX
  5. be a pusher?
  6. break a leg and claim insurance (haahahha!!)
  7. help your neighbour to mow her lawn
  8. bake cookies?
  9. sell your Gundam (desperate measures)
  10. sell you baby brother/sister/niece/nephew
what a dope... Warning: Do not try all the above.

Mizu no sei da

I don't remember how many times it happened... but all I know is that it will happen every year. And last night, it happened again. It's total suicide I tell ya. It began with the feeling of hatred. The 'tap.. tap' sound ticked me off. I was busy preparing for today's lunch. However, the tapping sound really got me into 'killing mode'. As usual, when the killing mode is switched on, I'm a walking ball of wrath. I ran to the toilet and then "BAMMM". The next thing i know, I was on the floor, all wet in my pajamas.

Yeap. I slipped.

On Monda, Negishi told me that he's quitting. And he'd tender his resignation. I was damn sad. Seriously. My cubicle mate, my anime-mate. I'm gonna be totally bored when Negishi leaves. Tori-san told me that another colleague is quitting soon. There less than 10 people in the office now. How sad is that. I'm sure everyone will be in burakku moddo (BLACK MODE). Especially me.

Ah man.... I've lost my mood to write now..

Until next time.

The Soba, The Croquette, The Tausa and The Trip

I've been yapping "Soba! Soba! Soba! Soba! Soba! Soba! Soba! Soba! Soba! Soba!" the whole week. My dream of having it for lunch yesterday afternoon was crushed by another trip to McDonald's (coz my boss wanted to eat Chicken Prosperity Burger...*pfft*). But last night finally, I was able to devour it, together with the forever indescribable goodness of Croquette at Sushi King. I never knew the Croquette was so good to be eaten together with Chicken Teriyaki Soba. The best word to describe it: "Subarashii". It was like heaven... Epiphany maybe?

The soba was superb (I bet it was not as good as the ones you can find in Japan a.k.a The Original Teriyaki Soba) but it was okay to kill the craving attack. The soup was slightly sweet and the soba noodle itself was quite soggy (they probably overcooked it). I still prefer cold soba over this but it was not a deep disappointment for me as I was fired to the max to dig in the Croquette.

Figure 1 : Sushi King no Tori Teriyaki Soba

I started with 4 pieces of sushi while reading about Liesel and Tom, and when the 'main course' arrived, i started mixing the wasabi and shoyu.... drooling... ;P I poke the Croquette with my chopsticks. It was crunchy on the outside and inside was soft. And the smell...oh, the smell~

Figure 2: Sushi King no Croquette

Dipping the Croquette in the Wasabi + Shoyu mix was brilliant. The sweet taste of the soft taro and the crunchiness of the breaded surface was heaven. (I'm seriously out of words to describe it). The taro melted in my mouth! (Okay... i exagerate a little... a lot). But it was good, i tell ya. After a few cups of hot green tea, I left with a big smile painted on my face. It was great.

Last night, my mom's aunt called her and invited all of us to go to Seremban during the Chinese New Year break. She called me yesterday too, to make sure I was free. My parents talked to me about it last night (I couldn't sleep, coz I was too excited about today*.) I deliberately reject the idea. I just wanted to see their reaction. That's all. Hahah!! Boy, was Chichi-ue mad. He really wanted me to have a good break, as in a little vacation for myself. Haha-ue was trying so hard to make me say 'Yes'. But the thing is, they didn't know that I do want to go and even planned a little trip along the way (like.... going to Melaka perhaps...). I told them "I'll think about it. Let me sleep". Hahaha.

This morning, I had my favourite Tausa Pao. It's been a while since I had it. I call it "Taisa-dono" coz it does sounded like Taisa a little. I was happy that i get to eat it today. I wanted to buy it yesterday but when i reached the shop that sells it, it was too early and they were still steaming it.

Pic 3: Tausa Pao
*Today: I can't wait to go back today. I'm gonna go pick up my manga and I'm gonna meet my old friend.

To all my friends who celebrate Chinese New Year: Gong Xi Fa Chai
Have a prosperous one!!

Until next time.

* wasabi - japanese horseradish
shoyu - soy sauce
soba - buckwheat noodle
subarashii - wonderful
Tausa Pao - Red Bean Steamed Bun
Taisa - Captain (Navy)
Liesel and Tom - Characters from the book I'm currently reading

Stress plus bossa

I've always been moved by the tunes of bossa nova. It's sorta like cool jazz, samba fusion tune which is relaxing and kinda take you away from the hassle of the city (and mind). This unique mix got me stuck in this mode (relax and lazy) for a while and it's kinda a temporary substitute (temporary AND substitute?? what the..) for my current mind-relaxing method (sleeping). A change of taste u say?? No. No. No. It's 'diversification'.

Bossa nova tune.

Basically what I know is, bossa nova comes from Brazil. That's as much as I know about it. Period. (I'll write more about it once i get my hands full of the details, but for now, let's just enjoy the music :P ) Regardless of the history and the fascinating story behind the genre, I'm very much in love with it.

A few days back, I was at MPH with my parents (yes...I bought books... it's Stress-Relief Therapy). I was enjoying the music that they put on in MPH, seriously, I was fascinated by it. The first thing I had in mind was "Deja Vu... ka?". It's like the same thing had happened to me before. Then I realized, it's just like the first time I heard the Ginza Bossa Nova. The music was awesome. I even asked the counter for the CD, and it's Brazillian Bossa Nova. Coolness, I thought. But I just left it to that... My mind keeps on thinking about it though. I even thought of buying the CDs. Hahaha... This week, my eveyday life seems to be much associated with this genre. I wasn't aware of it at first, until yesterday. (Not really...) I've been downlading bossa tunes for a while now and very much satisfied with it. So, the other day, I was re-running Chobits (I'm collecting the manga now.... talk about addiction) coz I thought I haven't watched it for quite a loooong time. I realized the theme songs for this anime (BGM especially) are mostly bossa tunes. What are the odds~ Hahaha...

So yesterday I went to Borders, looking for Chobits manga. But unfortunately, they don't have Volume 1 in The Curve. So I booked it online at Kinokuniya, KLCC together with Samurai Deeper KYO Volume 32. (Yuan is fighting Hotaru in this Volume...ooopsss... OOT Pulak~*OOT - Out of topic* ) and will be picking them up this Friday. (Hurry Friday!! a pun?! )

CORRECTION: Yuan is fighting Hotaru in Volume 31. Too excited about getting Volume 32 and as usual, my buffer #31 has not been read. Will be reading it once #32 is in my hand.

Frustrated with Borders... I went to Sun Comic and picked up some new anime. AND 2 CDs of Chobits OST. I was really happy yesterday (Happiness: MAX). After I paid, i realized that I also wanted Code Geass OST and there were 4 of them in the store. I told myself "Maybe i should get it the next time I come". The guy at the cashier keeps on talking to me about Samurai Deeper KYO (how the anime sucks bla bla bla... Tell me something I don't know) and also about Blade Of The Immortal (again.. about how the anime sucks... I doubt he read the manga, coz when I talked about the manga he went "blank"). He was a cheerful dude and because of the none stop talking, he accidentally put an extra DVD in my bag. I realized it after i finished a few plates of sashimi at Sakae Sushi (I was checking on the Chobits OST i just bought). It was raining heavily so I refused to go back to Cineleisure. Maa, ii ka~ I'll just give it back the next time I go. (It's some gaming DVD I think.. not that I have any use of it)

Anyway, here's a couple of songs from Chobits OST (bossa tunes) for you to enjoy. These 2 are my favourites. Saa, kitte kudasai. Douzo~

Until next time.
