Bon Jovi - Thank You For Loving Me

Good Morning World! It's 7:38am and I have to admit, it's too early to wake up because it's a Sunday! It's a beautiful Sunday!!!! Anyway, I just got back from Ipoh, a random adventure I must say. LastFriday at 4pm I suddenly felt like buying a one way ticket to Ipoh because I missed that certain someone really bad. (Of course he wasn't amused with the whole thing after being trolled. LOL. Sorry dear) I stayed at Mama's (PsychoKuukie) place on Saturday morning (yes, morning), hung out with her for a while and then killed time at Jusco Kinta City, playing Wordsearch at Coffee Bean while waiting for that certain someone to finish work =)

I've never done this kind of things before. LOL. I'm a poor unromantic and hahaha, after yesterday, I promise I will not do this kind of things anymore without telling him. (I don't wanna come between a man and his plans =_=) Ah well, what's done is done.

Btw, hahahaha I actually wanna post this song for that special someone. (And for everyone else, enjoy this song because Bon Jovi is damn hot awesome. XD

It started out as...

"It started out as a feeling...
which then grew into a hope...
which then turned into a quiet thought...
which then turned into a quiet word...
And then that word grew louder and louder til there was a battle cry... "
- The Call (Regina Spektor)

I love the lyrics in this song. It gives me courage to go on and fight my so-called 'battle' :D
This song is one of the OST for The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, sung by Regina Spektor. If you're wondering "Where in the movie was this song played?" Well, it's in the end where the 4 siblings had to go back and when the hot Prince kissed the ugly older sister.

I believe the words are true. I'm currently riding on the wave of happiness. I just hope it will last long :3 At least, I am happy... for now :3

Are you the source of my happiness? <3

Something good will come our way....

I'm feeling a bit down today. Everything has been great but you know, you can't get everything you want. Nobody said it was easy.

This is for that special someone...

Something Good by Bic Runga

Just wanna know ya
Just wanna talk to ya
I wanna hear about your day
I'd never leave ya
Never be mean to ya
I'd always let you get your way

Something good will come our way
And maybe this good thing's gonna happen today

If I were honest I 'd tell you everything
But it keeps coming out as lies
It's not a promise
In case you're wondering
It's not some blessing in disguise

But something good will come our way
And maybe this good thing's gonna happen today
Something good will come our way
And maybe this good things gonna happen today

I know romance is not in fashion
And my heart is on the line
If you would be so kind
To help me kill some time

Then something good just might come crashing
From the stars that light the sky
If you would be so kind
To help me kill some time

I want that hair! ( Nakashima Mika - Yuki no Hana)

Yuki no Hana

I'm still in 'Nakashima Mika' Mode. Of course everything Nakashima Mika related is equivalent to me being in 'Hanyannnnn~~' mode. But today, this post is related to her hairstyle in 2005 when she performed Yuki no Hana during Kouhaku 2005. I love this hairstyle. She had it done when she performed GLAMOUROUS SKY acoustic in one of the shows where she was invited as guest artist (of course, I don't remember which one). And so yeah, I'm planning to do it. This hair! If any of you are curious of how it looks like, please watch the video below ( and of course! Enjoy the song!!). Saa, kitte kudasai. Douzo.

AN: Hanyannnn~ Mode: Please refer to Cardcaptor Sakura's reaction when meeting Yukito-san =)

I LOVE YOU!

I Love You!

Currently in my room feeling all forlorn. Haha.. "Doushite?" you may ask. Well, I think I haven't done anything good to myself for the past weeks. Been working day and night and weekends and I barely have time for myself. Been torturing my mind and soul and all I think about is to get out of here.

Today I feel worse after being blocked from echofon-ing! SUCKS! Lucky for me I still have my phone. But U know, I just felt robbed from my rights and freedom. After all, we're human not robot. If I feel like I've been treated with no mercy, then I WILL return the favour =) I'm a witch!

Well, the title for my blog today is for ME. ME, MYSELF & I. Not that I never wish to say it to someone that means the world to me, I just don't have anyone like that at the moment. I may have thought I used to have that kind of person but, well, my thoughts are always wrong. Haha.

"I Love You" is a cover of Ozaki Yutaka's ballad, by Nakashima Mika (中島 美嘉). I love both versions though. Except I feel more 'in love' when I listen to Mika-chan's version. Well I love Nakashima Mika. I love her voice, her way of singing and ultimately, she's cool. :D I used to be all "Hanyann" when I listen to this song last year because it reminded me of a certain someone. Well, it still does but I rather not dwell into it too much. Saa, kitte kudasai. Dozou.

Part 1: Life's Theme Songs

If I am to pick theme songs for what's been going on with my life right now, I have a few. LOL. It's like an "OST of Life" or something. Except it varies in every occasion in my daily take in life. AND it changes quarterly every year. Like, it plays in my head everytime something happens or even when nothing happen. (Oh yes, my imagination works itself to the max sometimes) Take JAWS for example. (To those who do not know what 'JAWS' is can jump off the nearest cliff). Everyone knows JAWS theme song, right?

In my case, the theme songs varies depending on my mood.
(Remember, I am from Team Decepticon, not Emoticon) LOL!

Here's a list of my current "Life OST". Hee =D

1) Cool - Gwen Stefani
The only song that could calm me down when I'm back on the fence and thinking all the "What Ifs" and whatnot. This will be in my head prior to the whole brain being occupied by... * cough * next..

2) Skip Turn Step - Wakeshima Kanon
This will play in my head when I'm extremely happy. Usually, when I think of my nieces (Chib and Kosuke) and my nephew (Ryuu-chan). Reason that is, Chib loves this song to the extend of wanting it to be played everytime she's in my car. EVERYTIME. And Kosuke loves it too. So listening to this makes me happy =)

3) Skip Turn Step (Instrumental) - Wakeshima Kanon
Well, this will play when I'm in "Hanyan~" Mode. (p/s: refer Cardcaptor Sakura Anime) And Oh.. I feel like playing the bass and violin part whenever i listen to this. I tried the violin part though. The bass part hmm... it's slow but it sounds awesome! It's the best song to listen to when u feel all "Kira kira" and "fuwa fuwa" inside. And when u feel all daisies and sunshine~ Hanyannnnn~ XD

4) Cassis - the GazettE
This is a sad song but it's a beautiful piece (for a VK band). Last year, this category was filled in by 'Kousai' by Alice Nine. Cassis only plays in my head when I'm terribly down (like.. all the time, what do u mean "ONLY PLAYS IN MY HEAD WHEN. . ." Aki?)

5) 4 in the morning - Gwen Stefani
Well, you know... all the things that happen all night long and make u stay up til 4 in the morning. The good, the bad, the wonderful, the worst, the pretty, the ugly. Mostly, what makes you happy. This song gives me strength to go on and not to call it a quit. It keeps reminding me never to give up and to hold on to it.

6) TIME CAPSULE - Last Alliance
This usually comes when I'm in "I hit rock bottom! But I know I can survive!" =_=
Sorry but no PV or mp3 for this m(_ _)m

7) When Will I See You Again - The Three Degrees
Only happens when I'm in the car; Partially-Hanyan~ XD

Will be continued...

The Fourth Avenue Cafe

The Fourth Avenue Cafe.

I first heard it on Rurouni Kenshin (Samurai X). I've never knew L'Arc~ en~Ciel back in 1998. I just knew the song, it's a freaking cool Japanese Song. And that time, I only heard it on TV, once a week on Saturday. Despite the hardship of waiting and missing episode(s) of Rurouni Kenshin on TV, I still managed to at least record it on tape (and it sounded like an elephant trying to sing with it's trunk full of boogers) aftermath. I have no idea how to get a Japanese song from the Internet, (heck, I don't even have a computer back then).

Mon, (Dented's Lead guitarist) was (is? was? is?..... still is ) a huge fan of L'Arc~en~Ciel and GLAY (and anything japanese) back in high school. She was the one who introduced me to Japanese Rock back in 2000 (when I just got a PC) and lent me an MP3 CD full of Japanese songs (God knows where she got these things). She tried to brain-washed me into listening to GLAY, but i just C-A-N-T. Hahha.. (ok.. maybe 2 songs). I only remembered 3 songs that I was so addicted to,

1) Again, The Fourth Avenue Cafe,
2) Heaven's Drive and
3) Gackt - Saikai ~story~

That's not the point of what I'm trying to write here.. hahaha

Actually, I'm saving up to get myself a new bass guitar.

Ibanez - GSR 200-BK/JB/TR is what I have in mind so far
Image from: Bentley Music

I've been dying to play The Fourth Avenue Cafe on bass. I mean... I know I suck (ok.. maybe not that bad) but I've been watching videos of those who played this bass line and they are AWESOME. Maybe not as good as Tetsu, but still, they managed to pull it off good. I was thinking either to get a bass or a guitar, but I guess I should get the bass first so I could continue what I have left. My skills are seriously rotten.

I'm not sure when I'm able to get the above mentioned, but I'm working on it. The ecomony now.... Gahh... I hope I'm able to get it by next year. (Or someone, please be kind enough to give me a PS3 that Ibanez for my birthday! LOL)

Signing off~

Stress plus bossa

I've always been moved by the tunes of bossa nova. It's sorta like cool jazz, samba fusion tune which is relaxing and kinda take you away from the hassle of the city (and mind). This unique mix got me stuck in this mode (relax and lazy) for a while and it's kinda a temporary substitute (temporary AND substitute?? what the..) for my current mind-relaxing method (sleeping). A change of taste u say?? No. No. No. It's 'diversification'.

Bossa nova tune.

Basically what I know is, bossa nova comes from Brazil. That's as much as I know about it. Period. (I'll write more about it once i get my hands full of the details, but for now, let's just enjoy the music :P ) Regardless of the history and the fascinating story behind the genre, I'm very much in love with it.

A few days back, I was at MPH with my parents (yes...I bought books... it's Stress-Relief Therapy). I was enjoying the music that they put on in MPH, seriously, I was fascinated by it. The first thing I had in mind was "Deja Vu... ka?". It's like the same thing had happened to me before. Then I realized, it's just like the first time I heard the Ginza Bossa Nova. The music was awesome. I even asked the counter for the CD, and it's Brazillian Bossa Nova. Coolness, I thought. But I just left it to that... My mind keeps on thinking about it though. I even thought of buying the CDs. Hahaha... This week, my eveyday life seems to be much associated with this genre. I wasn't aware of it at first, until yesterday. (Not really...) I've been downlading bossa tunes for a while now and very much satisfied with it. So, the other day, I was re-running Chobits (I'm collecting the manga now.... talk about addiction) coz I thought I haven't watched it for quite a loooong time. I realized the theme songs for this anime (BGM especially) are mostly bossa tunes. What are the odds~ Hahaha...

So yesterday I went to Borders, looking for Chobits manga. But unfortunately, they don't have Volume 1 in The Curve. So I booked it online at Kinokuniya, KLCC together with Samurai Deeper KYO Volume 32. (Yuan is fighting Hotaru in this Volume...ooopsss... OOT Pulak~*OOT - Out of topic* ) and will be picking them up this Friday. (Hurry Friday!! a pun?! )

CORRECTION: Yuan is fighting Hotaru in Volume 31. Too excited about getting Volume 32 and as usual, my buffer #31 has not been read. Will be reading it once #32 is in my hand.

Frustrated with Borders... I went to Sun Comic and picked up some new anime. AND 2 CDs of Chobits OST. I was really happy yesterday (Happiness: MAX). After I paid, i realized that I also wanted Code Geass OST and there were 4 of them in the store. I told myself "Maybe i should get it the next time I come". The guy at the cashier keeps on talking to me about Samurai Deeper KYO (how the anime sucks bla bla bla... Tell me something I don't know) and also about Blade Of The Immortal (again.. about how the anime sucks... I doubt he read the manga, coz when I talked about the manga he went "blank"). He was a cheerful dude and because of the none stop talking, he accidentally put an extra DVD in my bag. I realized it after i finished a few plates of sashimi at Sakae Sushi (I was checking on the Chobits OST i just bought). It was raining heavily so I refused to go back to Cineleisure. Maa, ii ka~ I'll just give it back the next time I go. (It's some gaming DVD I think.. not that I have any use of it)

Anyway, here's a couple of songs from Chobits OST (bossa tunes) for you to enjoy. These 2 are my favourites. Saa, kitte kudasai. Douzo~

Until next time.

the sum

It's only 10.06 am and already the 32nd yawn. I just got back from collecting a cheque for the company. Yeah, i think my boss can sense that I'm dead bored and he can see my soul is half way out of my body.

Anyway, today's mind rambling will be about my current craze, Last Alliance's album the sum. It's their latest album which was released last June.
The first single from this album was Drag On and was released on 28th November 2007 (Haha-ue no tanjoubi da!*) and it's almost a year now :D. The single is called Signal 004.

Last Alliance: Signal 004

I first heard this song in February and was given to me by Haru-chan (she usually downloads things and forgets about them). And that time I was reading SDK (short for Samurai Deeper Kyo) and there was this omake* about how Yukimura became... Yukimura. Hahahaa... The song seems to fit the situation and the story line... somehow..

Drag On by Last Alliance

Drag on has been the Song of the Year I should say. It's always in any mix CDs I burned and it became my general ringtone a couple of times. (Now it's Aiko's personalized ringtone). It also became the Theme Song for Aiko's visits to KL.

Ok. That's a drag on for Drag On. Hahah... So,the latest album the sum, consists of 12 hard rocking songs. (Sasuga Rasto Araiansu*)

Last Alliance: the sum
  1. Change by 1
  2. Proud of Scar
  3. Mujuuryoku ONEWAY SHUTTLE
  4. Sabaku to Gensou
  5. Katahiza no Yogore
  6. PERFECT GAME
  7. Yureta Byoushin
  8. Lonesome World
  9. Drag On
  10. WORLD IS MINE
  11. Ameagari ni Graffiti
  12. Gunjou Kurage

My favourite from this album (for now) is Sabaku to Gensou [砂漠と幻想].

This song has become the sleeping song, waking up song, going to work song, working song, after work song, lrt song and even my current ringtone. Hahaha!! Sabaku to Gensou is sung by Ryusuke Anzai (Vocalist, Guitarist) and his voice really matches the heavy run and dark ambience of the song. XD
Rate: 5/5

My second favourite (for now. hahaha) is World Is Mine.

It wasn't my favourite before. Ameagari no Graffiti[雨上がりにグラフィティ] was my second and both are sung by non other than (ehem...) my favourite Last Alliance member. Bassist and vocalist Takahiko Matsumara!~ =) I usually listen to World Is Mine when I'm down or when I have too many things to think about. It kinda lift up my mood (and I should have "the world is mine" feeling and attitute after listening to it. Hahah) I usually call it lagu semangat*.
Rate:5/5

So, if you're up to some Hard Rock/Post Punk music I highly recommend Last Alliance's the sum. But I'm sure I'll revert to Hurry XMas* mode when December comes. Hehehe.

*Haha-ue no tanjoubi da! = Mom's birthday
*omake = extra
* Sasuga Rasto Araiansu = As expected from Last Alliance
*Hurry Xmas = A single from L'Arc~en~Ciel
*lagu Semangat = songs that uplift your mood
